Message from the Dean
It is my pleasure to warmly welcome all new and returning students, staff, and visitors to the Faculty of Agriculture.
As we begin a new academic session, we look forward to a period of learning, discovery, and innovation in agricultural science and practice. Our Faculty remains committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, with a strong focus on producing graduates equipped to advance food security, sustainability, and national development.

To have a rapidly transformed Centre enriched with highly trained and innovative manpower for the management of all value chains involving Crops, Livestock, Fisheries, Wildlife and Forestry, towards enhancing the quality of life.
Mission
To offer broad-based training in agriculture with sufficient practical components that will produce graduates who are self-confident and capable of engaging in post-graduation employment rather than becoming job seekers.
To direct research efforts toward relevant agricultural and developmental challenges and generate appropriate solutions at all levels of society.
To enhance students’ understanding of the role of agriculture in transforming Nigeria into a self-reliant nation in food, fibre, and other agricultural by-products.
